A great man passed away today. He had been ill for a long time and so perhaps it's best. His name was Max, Max Yoho. I only met Max once and it was a shortish visit. He was in bed resting and we talked for a few hours about my book and about writing in general. Max was an Author, he mainly wrote about Kansas and he was funny, intelligent, and even in sickness quick witted. In general I don't consider someone a friend after just one meeting. With Max it was different.
At that meeting I felt a connection with Max, I felt he was a kindred spirit. I wish we had more time to get to know each other, to explore our friendship, to learn from each other. We never have enough time though.
Max had a wife. Her name is Carol. Carol is a wonderful lady and she deserved so much more time with her husband.
I'm rambling here because I don't know what to say. I just felt it needed to be noted that a great man passed today. I'm sure Max isn't the only one, but he's the one I know.
Goodbye Max, you will be missed, you will be remembered, you will be cherished.
Have a good evening.
